Colorado Leaders for Academic Success which touts itself as a conservative alternative school board association to Colorado Association for School Boards, has appointed a new executive director, see email below.
It seems that school board members who have joined CLAS view CASB as too liberal. However, during school board discussions, it was highlighted that school board members also appreciate the convenience of remaining with CASB for its policy support, how convenient .
In a recent Montezuma-Cortez School Board meeting, it was announced that CLAS plans to hire a policy director, a move that could further strengthen their policy development.
Elizabeth, Brush and Montezuma- Cortez School Boards have voted to join CLAS.
